Aluminum chlorohydrate (ACH) is an inorganic polymer compound with the molecular formula Al2(OH)5Cl. Aluminium chlorohydrate has excellent flocculation ability and can form colloid.
The alumina content in liquid ACH is more than 23%, and the alumina content in solid ACH is generally 46%. ACH has strong bridging and adsorption properties, and is easily soluble in water. The hydrolysis process is accompanied by physical and chemical processes such as electrochemistry, coagulation, adsorption and precipitation.

Others. Decolorization of printing and dyeing wastewater; pharmaceutical, rubber, leather, petroleum, chemical industries, etc.
Performance Characteristics
Highly efficient flocculation performance. This chemical can quickly hydrolyze in water to form positively charged polynuclear complex ions. These complex ions can effectively neutralize negatively charged suspended particles, colloidal substances and organic matter in water. Through charge neutralization, adsorption bridging and sweeping, these particles can quickly aggregate into larger flocs, which is convenient for subsequent precipitation or filtration treatment. This highly efficient flocculation performance makes ACH one of the indispensable flocculants in water treatment.
Wide pH adaptability range. ACH chemical can maintain good flocculation effect in a wide pH range (usually 5-9), which allows it to be used under different water quality conditions without excessive pH adjustment. This feature not only simplifies the operation process, but also reduces the treatment cost.
Excellent water purification effect. After using ACH to treat water, its turbidity, color, COD (chemical oxygen demand), heavy metal ions and other indicators can be significantly reduced, and the water quality is significantly improved. At the same time, aluminum chlorohydrate chemical can also effectively remove microorganisms such as algae, bacteria and viruses in water, improving the safety of drinking water.
Low toxicity and biosafety. Although aluminum chlorohydrate (ACH) is somewhat irritating to the skin and eyes, it performs well in terms of biodegradation and has low toxicity to the environment and organisms. In the water treatment process, as long as the operation is carried out in accordance with the specifications, no secondary pollution will be caused to the water body.
Stability and easy storage. The aluminum chlorohydrate powder is easy to store and transport, and is not easy to deteriorate due to moisture. Its aqueous solution is also relatively stable, and it is not easy to precipitate or stratify, which is convenient for long-term use.
